# Using RESTful Tools

We love tools. Many of them make prototyping against APIs quick and easy. However, there are limitations to these tools that you must be aware of which will cause errors messages when contacting the Garageio API.

[**Echo**](http://echoapp.net/) - Echo is a great little native app for OSX for testing APIs but it is known to block/override a couple of critical headers required by the Garageio Service, such as `Accept-Charset`.

[**POSTMAN**](https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/postman/fhbjgbiflinjbdggehcddcbncdddomop) - Postman is a fairly feature-rich app that runs atop the Google Chrome web browser. It too restricts a ton of headers, which are conveniently listed in Postman’s documentation. Some headers Postman blocks will certainly cause an issue with testing the Garageio Service:

* `Accept-Charset`
* `Accept-Encoding`
* `Host`

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.parqex.com/-MUyxAVrX9S4wky8UoX6/getting-started/using-restful-tools.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
